Nice to see Rollins play so well in the WBC over the last couple of weeks. He topped it off by going 4 for 4 in the loss to Japan.

Nice to see Utley playing and hitting a home run.

The Drama of Kendrick is over and now it is down to 3 pitchers for the 5th spot.

Hamels pitched 3 and change innings in a minor league game - that is a good sign.

  1. Yes it seems as if the offense is just about where it needs to be. I hope that the offense can play at a consistent level this year. I believe the only reason the Mets were still in it in the end last year is because the offense drastically underachieved while the pitching overachieved. Making it so that the phils would lose many games where there were only 3 runs scored in the game. Pitching must be the same as last year but offense must improve.

  2. It will be real tough for the pitching to be as good as last year, keeping the Bull pen in mind. I believe the starting pitching can get better, but not the bull pen. Hamels, Myers, Blanton, and the 5th starter can all have better seasons than last year. Moyer is the one who will come down to average.
